Verified, trained, tracked

Safety stated as protocol, not as a slogan.

Night-shift transport is where a vendor is really tested. This page is written in operational detail, the curriculum, the verification standard, and exactly what happens on a woman's night-shift trip, so you can audit every claim on it.

The academy

The FORSECDM Driver Academy.

Training is delivered under the Foundation of Road Safety, Environment Conservation and Disaster Management (FORSECDM), an NGO. Drivers complete a full curriculum before they carry a passenger, and are certified against it. The six modules and what each covers:

Defensive driving

Hazard anticipation, safe following, night and monsoon conditions.

Passenger safety

Conduct, boarding and alighting, vulnerable-passenger awareness.

Women’s-safety protocol

The night-shift rules below, drilled, not just read.

Emergency response

SOS handling, breakdown procedure, first-response basics.

Vehicle & EV handling

Pre-shift checks, charging discipline, in-cabin systems.

Conduct, compliance & POSH

Documentation, route discipline, professional conduct, and POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) awareness.

The training programmes, and what each involves.
ProgrammeDurationPurpose
Safety & Defensive Driving1 day · 6–8 hoursThe core induction every driver completes before carrying a passenger.
Advanced Driver Development5 days · 30–40 hoursThe full curriculum, across all six modules, for drivers on demanding routes.
Periodic Refresher2–4 hoursRecurring revalidation, and corrective training after an incident or a finding.

Drivers are assessed at the end of each programme and issued a certificate with a unique reference number on successful completion. Refresher and revalidation intervals follow the programme and any client-specific requirement.

Affiliation

The affiliation, disclosed plainly.

Named in full, not hidden behind “an NGO”.

Driver verification and defensive-driving training are delivered under our affiliation with the Foundation of Road Safety, Environment Conservation and Disaster Management (FORSECDM), an NGO. We name it in full and volunteer the affiliation rather than referring vaguely to “an NGO”, because specific and checkable converts better, and because volunteering it removes the only version of this that could bite in due diligence.

The programme covers defensive driving, road and passenger safety, hazard perception, fatigue management, emergency response, EV driving and charging-area safety, professional conduct, and POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) awareness, so driver development is treated as a continuous operating discipline rather than a one-time compliance box.

Verification

Background-verified, then re-verified.

On a defined cycle, not once and forgotten.

  • Before onboarding: identity, licence, address and record checks, every driver, before they carry a passenger.
  • Re-verified on a cycle: a defined interval rather than once and forgotten.
  • Auditable: if your compliance team wants to confirm a driver’s status, the record is there to confirm it.

Verification covers identity, driving licence, permanent and current address, and a police or background check. Records are re-verified on a rolling annual cycle, and immediately if a document lapses.

Night-shift protocol

Women’s safety, in operational detail.

These are controls, not assurances. Each one is something the operation does, and something you can check that it did.

No first pickup, no last drop

A woman travelling alone is never the first collected or the last dropped, the route is sequenced so she is not alone with the driver at the ends of the trip.

Escort threshold

Below a defined occupancy on night shifts, a trained escort is assigned.

Live tracking to a named contact

The trip’s live location goes to a specific, named person, not a general control room only.

Geofence alerting

Deviation from the planned route or an unexpected stop raises an alert.

SOS

An in-trip panic path that escalates immediately.

The exact escort-threshold occupancy and the named-contact routing are set for your account during onboarding, and written into the operating plan.

Night-shift operations

A broader night discipline.

Night shifts change the risk profile of every part of the operation, visibility, fatigue, isolation, so the controls above sit inside a broader night discipline: rested drivers, well-maintained vehicles, and routes planned for the conditions rather than the daytime map.

Statutory context

State-by-state, the statute as the floor.

Rules for transporting women on night shifts, escort requirements, permissions, employer obligations, vary by state, and are tied to labour-law provisions and local notifications. We operate to the requirements of the state we run in, and treat the statute as the floor, not the ceiling.

In Maharashtra, that means running to the applicable Shops and Establishments provisions and the conditions attached to night-shift transport for women, alongside the passenger-transport permit and driver requirements under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Escalation

Incident handling and escalation.

Event against response, with timings.
EventResponseTiming
SOS triggeredImmediate control-room action and named-contact alert.Immediate
Route deviationAutomated alert, driver contacted, reason logged.Within minutes
BreakdownBuffer vehicle dispatched; passenger kept informed.Per the contracted response window
Complaint raisedLogged, investigated, resolution reported.Acknowledged same day

Vehicle safety

Roadworthy as a logged fact.

Vehicles run a pre-shift check and a scheduled inspection cycle, with the results recorded in the platform against the vehicle, so “the vehicle was roadworthy” is a logged fact, not an assumption. Documents are tracked to expiry alongside.

The inspection and document records live in the compliance console →

Buses

A different vehicle, the same duty of care.

Buses carry their own standards: rated capacity respected rather than exceeded, proper seating, marked emergency exits, and the same tracking and SOS coverage as the cars. A bus is a different vehicle with the same duty of care.

Questions people ask

Questions people ask.

How do you handle women’s safety on night shifts?

No first pickup or last drop for a woman alone, an escort below a threshold occupancy, live tracking to a named contact, geofence alerting and SOS, drilled in training and auditable in the record.

Are your drivers verified, and can I audit that?

Yes. Every driver is background-verified before onboarding and re-verified on a cycle, and the verification record is available for your compliance team to confirm.

What is FORSECDM?

The Foundation of Road Safety, Environment Conservation and Disaster Management (FORSECDM), an NGO. Driver verification and defensive-driving training are delivered under our affiliation with it.

What happens when an SOS is triggered?

Immediate control-room action and a named-contact alert, with the event logged and escalation timings defined.

Do the buses meet the same standard?

Yes, rated capacity, proper seating, marked emergency exits, and the same tracking and SOS coverage as the cars.
